RESOURCES & INFORMATION FOR THE AFFORDABLE CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM (ACP) WIND-DOWN

The FCC issued a wind-down order for ACP on January 11, 2024.

This announcement has an impact on many, including eligible households, those already enrolled, and the agencies who serve them.

CSNOW will continue to update this page as more information becomes available.

Key points of the order:

  • No new enrollments will be accepted after 11:59 pm ET on February 7 - households must be approved AND enrolled with an internet company to receive this benefit
  • The last month enrollees will receive the benefit is April of 2024
  • Internet service providers are required to provide consumers with no less than 3 written notices about the end of the program; at least one notice should include information about how consumers can change or opt-out of service
  • If Congress decides to provide more funding for the ACP, the FCC will provide further guidance and instructions on how the ACP will proceed at that time
